The Delphi Is In The Details

The whole time my blog was down I remained active on Twitter. I still give away trading ideas from time to time, like this short in DFG. Executing it in real-time and managing the risk is the hard part… good set-ups are a dime a dozen, that’s why I’m happy to share what I find.

Retail Still Ripping

One of the longest-lived positions that subscribers to my weekly newsletter hold is Retail (XRT), which we bought in March 2009. It’s now up nearly 80% and still looks fine.

Makes perfect sense that the retail sector would be so strong given the worst recession in many generations, horrible consumer confidence numbers, nationwide high double-digit unemployment, etc. I’m joking, it makes no sense, but I don’t follow the news, I follow the market.

If you’d like to subscribe to my weekly newsletter, just drop me an email for details. If you’d like to see a copy of that newsletter from last March, I’d be happy to send it to anyone who needs time-stamped proof of my undiscovered genius.

Maoxian Returns

I’m  sorry that the site was down for over a month.  I was using an old version of Wordpress that was riddled with security holes and some clever Russian hackers attacked the site and replaced all the links.  I still don’t have the old Wordpress database back up, since I don’t really know what I’m doing, but anyway, I’m back and will write posts fairly regularly.

Thanks for your patience.

(Below is an example of the destruction the hackers wrought:)
