Conglomerate Kings
(Click for Full Sized Chart)
Bill Gross, the bond fund manager at PIMCO, wrote some fairly scathing comments about GE management in his recent Investment Outlook letter. He says GE resembles "failed conglomerates of yesteryear such as Gulf + Western and LTV." Pretty strong stuff! The chart fiends chatter about GE's multiyear "head and shoulders top" formation, and how this pattern points to much lower prices. What's my view? I think John Allen Paulos says it best: "All people search for patterns and order, but some are determined to find them whether they're there or not." Off to Chicago, be back Monday. |
