Anthony@FederalPrison

Hey, whaddyadoin' to me here, Fat Tony?!? (Visit Dear Anthony's thread at Silicon Investor)

Looks like the long arm of the law caught up with Amr Ibrahim Elgindy, a.k.a. Anthony Elgindy, a.k.a. "Anthony@Pacific." Back during the Boom all kinds of shifty characters exploited the Internet to make a quick buck off of innocent investors.

Both Yun Soo Oh Park, a.k.a. "TokyoMex," a.k.a. "TokyoJoe," and "Anthony@Pacific" built huge followings at Silicon Investor and were able to charge top dollar for their "tip sheets." Now we know that Yun Soo would front run his subscribers, and Amr was getting secret information from FBI databases. Those guys always struck me as being lowlifes... even lower than extravagantly paid touts like Henry Blodget at Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Elgindy was indicted by the U.S. Attorney's office in Brooklyn, N.Y., on charges of racketeering, insider trading, market manipulation, extortion conspiracy and obstruction of justice. I wonder if Amr will have Internet access from his jail cell? ;-)
