Socially Irresponsible Investing
I first bought Philip Morris (MO) back during the tech stock boom, and was promptly and widely ridiculed as a fuddy-duddy by my day trading buddies. I got interested in buying MO after visiting a hip club in Hongkong and seeing that not only was everyone smoking, they were all smoking Marlboros. No-brainer buy, right? Anheuser-Busch (BUD) also would have been a great buy back then.
