We walked a short section of the Thames Path this past weekend, from Henley-on-Thames to Bourne End. It was quite a pretty walk
along the river, maybe ten miles long, but it felt longer because it was a little hot.
We came across a regatta which was being held in Marlow. It reminded me of a county fair in upstate New York: the
candied apples, the shaky-looking rides, the escaped convicts running the games, and the local teenage girls wearing their
slutty worst (praise god!).
