MOving on UpBig MO moved to a new high yesterday. It's yielding 4.31%, which is still better than the Ten-Year Treasury Note last I checked. MO was the best investment I made during the Bubble Years and the only pick that people openly and repeatedly ridiculed me for (if I had only saved the emails, argh). No one laughed when I bought Juniper for over $200 a share or Ariba at around $125 -- indeed, I was roundly congratulated for my great investment acumen with those purchases. You live, you lose, you learn.

Green Mountain Coffee RoastersGMCR is approaching its old 2001 high. This Vermont-based company first made Forbes's "200 Best Small Companies" list in 2000, and has been there every year since. (If there's only one copy of Forbes you pay close attention to every year, it should be their Best Small Companies issue.)
