No Data Means Morning Chat DelayedI won't start the morning chat here until I have a datafeed properly set up. Have I mentioned in the past how awful Quote.com's customer service is? Nevertheless, leaving lovely Qcharts is like breaking up with a beautiful woman who happens to be dumb: it's a difficult choice to make. (MetaStock's new QuoteCenter has caught my eye... decisions, decisions.) Patience, loyal chatters. Posted on September 7, 2005 at 8:00, GMT

When I first featured Jeff Matthews as a must-read blogger, I said that "I love the fact that his font grows wildly larger as his occasional rant reaches its climax." I thought that the wildly larger font was intentional, but apparently it's just a glitch when reading him in Bloglines.

Apple Approaching Target After a Seven Month StretchApple is finally reapproaching the $100 mark (split-adjusted). You may recall the rather ugly spat I had with Ugly back in February when he said AAPL hitting $100 was a "sure-fire bet," and I demurred. Happily, Ugly followed the rule of all great forecasters: "if you're going to give a price target, never specify a time frame."
