A Spectacle To Behold, But Does It Have Value?
Ego Unleashed, or Everyman of the Market?, by David Carr
Mr. Cramer… is selling… the notion that the average Joe can think and trade his way past the market. That doesn’t generally happen, but a guy can dream, right? The show is called “Mad Money” for a reason, tapping into a resentment that holds that it is always the other guy who is making out.
Hmmm. I’ve never once thought that the “Mad” in Mad Money meant angry or resentful. What a strange interpretation. Absurd, bonkers, crackers, crazy, cuckoo, daffy, dotty, demented, frantic, harebrained, idiotic, imbecilic, insane, loco, loopy, lunatic, maniacal, nutty, screwy, silly, wacky, wild… yes! But never angry.
I’ve only seen the show a couple of times, and it does have some entertainment value, but the average Joe should learn to think for himself and forget about chasing “hot stocks.” Professional traders who can afford to be in front of a screen all day may have some success gaming (often fading) Cramer’s picks.

Cool comments. The show is unwatchable. Cramer desperately needs somebody else on the show so it’s not just him and a camera.

Jim Cramer can’t even get dressed without his wife’s help. I watched his show one time to see what all the hubbub was about and I couldn’t believe the nonsesnse he spouts.
