Best & Worst Relative Performance — Four Weeks Ending Sep. 1, 2006

It’s pretty clear when you look at relative performance over the last four weeks that a lot of money has been flowing into Tech / Telecom / Biotech:

rp best

And out of Energies / Gold / Financials … a classic rotation from winners to losers.

rp worst

Hi CM, it doesn’t look like the shift you mention here into tech/telecom/biotech is reflected in the ETF tables in the previous post where those sectors are still showing with comment DOWN since.. are using different ‘parameters’ for those tables?

Eyal: The ETF trend in the performance tables is based on the weekly charts and it takes quite a reversal to get the trend to shift up… but you’ll note that the IWM shifted last week (and the XLK is on the verge of flipping as well).
