Box a Blank for Monday

There are no trading ideas for today, but there are seven open positions, all box ideas, that I’m monitoring. I expect those trades to be closed out in the next week or so (win or lose) and then I can issue the report for December’s results. At the moment the results look… OK. I applied my ABC (”arbitrary but consistent”) stop management system to tabulate the results so far: moving the stop to breakeven once initial risk is covered, and then trailing the stop once twice the initial risk is covered.

Anyway, happy new year to my faithful readers; I thank you for sticking around.

    Out of PPDI with a tiny gain. My current purchase was GLO closed end Fund almost 9% dividend and distribution,end of year.I have ridden many of these up and down,catch good dividends.All comeback to level depending on World Financial situation but none cave in just stay at discounts.Keeping lot of powder dry in near cash.
    Have a Happy and Prosperous new year.

    ike: PPDI stopped out for a breakeven scratch.

    “They all come back” are four of the scariest words in the English language.

    No matter how much you win at the casino, the casino will always win more. :-)

    Happy New year! BTW thanks for the Linda Raschke link, I hadn’t checked her blog in a while. That’s why I like your blog. Random thoughts that inspire more randomness in me! (I do mean this as a compliment in case there is a doubt!)

    Regards,

    @Andrew, Anthony, and Tom: Thanks.

    @Miggs: You’re welcome. I’m going to try to take the delicious links out of the sidebar and put them in the main blog as a single post from now on so more people can enjoy the randomness (and CapGain can make comments without going off topic).

    What can I say, some of those links are just too good to keep quiet about.

    Cap: I’m going to take them out of the sidebar and make into a daily post starting this week, so you can comment away then.
