I would certainly get them. You could make them into some beautiful curtains.

    Just one…. WHY?

Just make sure you have the correct length. Otherwise, if you have to alter the length, which I see that it is necessary to cut by the ’square.’ It would not look good if you have half a square at the bottom of the pants!

brian: Right, they’ve called ten of the last five tops perfectly.

Where were you planning to wear these and with whom: She Who Cannot be Disobeyed would have an interesting response…and your gf-s would have some other interesting responses…..maybe baby T would like them….maythe in ambiance is different in Beijing…maybe. For a man who values value, I think this is a miss.

    C. (the pants, not Buffy and Missy) I think I stored them somewhere… let me look… hold on….

I need to see what shirt you are going to match up before I can give my opinion…of course if you go shirtless than I say what the hell why not who would notice anyway…

Wow, neat. I’m interested in getting a pair now.

It looks like a 1960’s thing?!

    it is beautiful.

Andrew: Rest assured that these bad boys will never be considered cool.

And you must wear them with a long-sleeved shirt— a solid color with white cuffs and collar.

  21. C. Maoxian said:

Mike: I was thinking they’d go well with stripes. Why long sleeves?

I’m seeing a fancy hat too, maybe with a feather, also a walking cane ;)

Have you ever wondered why they’re called by the plural? Have you ever tried to buy 1 “pant”?

  26. He Who Does Disobey said:

Those pants would look great with a straight jacket.

  27. Schnappi said:

That’s all you should wear. I have several pairs, and wear them everyday as they really pull the chicks. You won’t believe this, but my women even fight over who gets to wash and iron them.

  28. iio said:

    Are those Brooks Brothers pants?

  29. C. Maoxian said:

iio: Good guess, but they’re from Orvis. I once had a shirt from Brooks Brothers called the “fun shirt” (a multi-colored stripe) which almost got me beaten up on several occasions. ;-)

  30. John said:

I have one of the “fun shirts” from Brooks. They stopped carrying them for awhile (Brooks has had several owners over the years and perhaps that’s why). But several years ago I noticed they started stocking them again and bought one immediately. If you like full cut shirts, you can get a lot of wear out of it — good with khakis, navy blazer, even shorts.

  31. odrazorbac said:

I’m sure if any quilters saw you they would seek you out!

  32. C. Maoxian said:

John: They’ve stopped stocking the fun shirt; I haven’t seen one in years and years anyway, so if you find one buy it for me.

  33. Spammy Pie said:

I’d at least try these one with a solid white oxford, untucked of course. However, I prefer boot-leg cut.

  34. KC Trader said:

If those are the next fashionable items, I would be happy to be considered not “trendy” in the clothing department.

Trying to picture you in these pants… You know what, I think they suit you well.

  38. appletoast said:

total yes. wife says no. where can i buy?

    thank you!

  39. C. Maoxian said:

appletoast: Orvis (but it looks like they sold out) … consider these hunting pants instead.

  40. appletoast said:

    hahah. wife now says divorce.

    lol

  41. C. Maoxian said:

appletoast: Stick to your guns and be confident that there’s a woman out there who can learn to love them (though she may be very difficult to find). ;-)

I love them I am trying to find some for my boyfriend right now I think they are going to look great!

  43. C. Maoxian said:

lisa: You’re a woman with rare good taste. ;-) (Orvis no longer stocks them though, I’m afraid.)
