Monthly View of Freddie and Fannie
You can see from the long-term charts that Freddie (FRE) and Fannie (FNM) went nowhere for many years (around a decade!) before this recent collapse. Chartists, at least the ones who keep it simple, shouldn’t be mocked.

Scary charts, Chairman. By the way, the “enlarge” link for fannie mae doesn’t seem to work.

Gary: Thanks, I fixed the chart. They are scary charts and they show that the whole house of cards could come tumbling down.

That looks like a H&S top in FNM; and it projects to a level that is significantly lower.

heres the thing, other than true growth stocks, these scharts prove that there is plenty of time to exit, even after the monthly break. why anyone owned these the last 10 years is the reason you cant give your money to mutual fund managers.
