Notable New Highs — December 7, 2006

Kind of an awful see-saw day till, yes, 2 PM precisely, when the sell programs turned on (ding dong!) accelerating into the close.

There’s Capital Southwest Corporation (CSWC), a company I only recently learned about from reading ControlledGreed.com, who recommended reading the President’s letters (which are very good).

Thanks for the props. I first learned of Capital Southwest and Bill Thomas from reading an interview with Marty Whitman in the early-to-mid 1990s.

Nice pop in CSWC. Do they have Heelys in China? It’ll be interesting to see how that IPO does tomorrow

Michael: Yeah, all the little spoiled rich kids wear Heelys (probably knock-offs though).
