Notable New Highs — October 9, 2006

Pretty good tone … I haven’t visited a Chipolte’s, but I’ll take Howard’s word for it (and yes, I’ve owned MCD forever). Kudos to GOOG for buying YouTube … they missed buying del.icio.us (big mistake) and Bloglines and Flickr for that matter, but they did the right thing here.

    howard: the ladies have a thing for the little chairman so maybe he should be front and center instead of in the corner. ;-)

    I took a liitle bite out of Chipoltes (CMG) during the day (trade) yesterday and the results were yummy. I took a long bite just after 11:30, and digested later that day quite well.:d

    CM, no I didn’t. Now that I look at the chart in hindsight, my plan was to enter trade after the 4th candle,hammer-like candle, closed above it’s 30 min O/R high. It doesn’t look so hamma-like now…doh. I noticed the volume on the daily chart was pickin up like crazy though the last few days. Guessed it was poised for a breakout, got lucky. Lookin at daily charts helped me pick AVZ today as well. Long break of 2nd 30 min bar. BTW, your buddy Steve’s advice to bringing stop to break even has helped immensely. But rarely do I bring it higher/lower - as you have alluded to in the past. Thanks!
