Review of Trading Ideas from the Box — December 2007
Here is the spreadsheet and charts for all the “with the trend” ideas from the Box in December 2007. Anyone who is interested in subscribing to the Box’s trading ideas should review this post closely. I will write these reviews for every month (January, February, March 2008 are all finished, I just haven’t uploaded everything yet). These are the trading ideas in complete and original form; they are not “cherry picked” or “massaged” to look good given the benefit of hindsight.
I welcome all questions and comments!
If you’d like to subscribe (for a modest monthly fee) to these trading ideas, just drop me an email and I’ll be in touch.

Hi, Chairman:
Does your trailing stop mean using previous bar’s low as stop if long? Thanks!

kkhorse: Following the old ABC method, once 2x risk is reached (the dashed black line), the stop begins to trail below the low of *up* bars for longs.

Where do I find the resulting R for each trade?

pat: It all depends on how you managed the trade. Everyone has to figure it out for himself based on how he handles things.

For your graphs, you did show the trades closed based on the ABC stop, right? If so, what would be the R when the trade was closed according to the ABC stop method?

pat: The charts are for every single idea and should be looked at together with the spreadsheet. Notice that CROX and a couple other set-ups didn’t even *trigger.* I think that December was +29R following the ABC method but I urge you not to think about the ideas in a mechanical way.
