Reviewing Currently Open Trades

The box could not find a single idea in the very large universe of securities that it scans, so I thought it was a good opportunity to review the positions which are currently open. I have not included the two trades that opened yesterday (Thursday) since they are too “fresh.” If you’d like to join the list of people receiving these trade ideas, free until the end of this month, email me.

There are three open trades from December yet to close, and three from January. I’ve annotated the charts and presented them in chronological order. If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I’ll answer them.

LINTA
SM
LLTC
PFE
XRAY
PG

its interesting to see some charts here…some longs (PFE, XRAY, PG) where picked up after they had made an A-B-C type of corrective move…shorts like LINTA and LLTC had made an ABC up before getting picked…is your box a pattern based scanner ? just curious…. (-:

Peter: You have an excellent eye but I still expect you to fork over $20 a month. :-)

Dammit why’d I cover LINTA so soon??? I was so busy congratulating myself by banking a 3R and left another 5R in the market without noticing until now!

Hello, I have a new blog, and would be interested in exchanging links.
I am Spanish and my blog covers the analysis of many equity markets.
I think it could be beneficial for both.

    Greetings

I find it amusing that this ‘idea maker’ is termed “the box.”

If “the box” has good ideas, then all is well and those shelling out the 20 bucks think it’s a mysterious yet worthwhile expense.

If “the box” comes out with losing ideas or no ideas at all, then those shelling out the jack can blame it on the mysterious, inanimate, box.

    It’s quite a wonderful name.

@steve: Yes, you have to catch a few big winners because there are a lot of little losers.

    @Luis: I don’t exchange links, sorry.

@Todd: Yes, the name is obviously part of my incredibly sophisticated marketing plan, aimed squarely at attracting at least a dozen subscribers.

QQQ: Thanks but it ain’t me, it’s a mysterious, inanimate box at work. :)
