Stephen Roach’s “Newfound Optimism” and a Perfectly Picked Top
I thought it would be fun to point out that Stephen Roach turned bullish on bonds precisely at the top.

Oh that’s too funny. I guess Roach is a contrarian indicator!

Why would Roach be right on bonds when he’s been wrong on everything else for a decade? PS: the “piper” sold today.

2cents: The beauty of it is the precision of his wrong call on bonds as opposed to being wrong about everything in general. It’s thrilling for those of us who monitor shifts in sentiment to be able to identify the moment he threw in the towel.

that too, of course. another example was the perfect record for several years of stock market intermediate term highs on days when Abby Cohen appeared on CNBS. naturally one might suspect those were intentional “signals” in the manner of George Soros. ;)

I almost corrected your “CNBS” then I realized it was intentional. ;-) Any mention of Abby makes me laugh because I always think of jacad’s (remember jacad?) insistence that Abraham Joseph Cohen would appear in drag at key moments to reiterate “her” bullishness.

i get emails from jacad, a.k.a. samurai, almost every day. he said he was told AJC had a sex change, and he, samurai, did a quick “locker room” check to find out. he concluded she was definitely a he. lol
