Stock Du Jour (BIDU) & Random Observations
Poor tone all day, not a great time for the longs. A few notables from the new lows list: Southwest Airlines (LUV), Rackable Systems (RACK), and OmniCare (OCR).
Baidu.com (BIDU) was the stock du jour though it would’ve been darn tough to make a dime there.

Howard: Yes, but then you would have risked seeing it drop from 110 to 80 and finally settling down at 95. ;-)

BIDU jumped from $100 to 145$ this week. A very nice and profitable 69% if you would have been able to sell at the top. Top picking is accidental and lucky though.

KC: So is stock picking for the most part (accidental and lucky); it could have gone from $100 to $55 as easily assuming you sold bottom tick. ;-)

Mao, I was referring to picking the exact highest dollar amount high (impossible for the unknown), not getting out in the general area of trend reveral.

KC: Yeah, and I was picking an equivalent lowest dollar amount — unknown but certainly possible.
