Stock Du Jour (POT) & Random Observations
Nowhere chop for the first half of the day then some selling kicked in early afternoon and continued into the close.
Notable New Lows: Enterra (ENT), Cott (COT), Pantry (PTRY), Time Warner Cable (TWC), and Circuit City (CC).
Notable New Highs: Huge number and I don’t want to be too repetitive, so it’s hard to choose: Blue Nile (NILE), ABB (ABB), Kinross Gold (KGC), Barrick (ABX), Gold (GLD), Oil Service HOLDRS (OIH), Medtronic (MDT), Potash (POT), and AT&T (T).
Here’s a quarterly chart of Potash which gives you some long-term perspective. As commenter “yin” suggests, this is another good stock to add to your “agricultural plays” portfolio.

Not complaining about the chart or anything, but where in the world would you buy at this point? Seems like the only entry is a “fundamentals are great going forward” blind jump.

No real place to buy — we need some kind of pullback on this little baby.

Kacy & momo: Yeah, it has gone up more or less straight up above $30 so it’s not exactly easy to buy right now.

Break of 90.00 was a nice spot a few day ago, may not be a dummy setup but it’s a breakout on the daily.
