Stock Du Jour (WFMI - again) & Random Observations
Kind of a nowhere day until the afternoon when more selling kicked in.
WFMI was again the stock du jour and gave a nice low-risk spot to get short around noon.

Interesting. WFMI was nowhere on my screens. Also no unusual volume in the morning.

Could you explain why this was a “dummies delight?” In other words, how would a dummy like me find this type of trade and execute it? Thanks!

Alex: After you study the Dummy Lessons it should all be clear.

WFMI still has no buyers after their earnings. When the market finally decided to sell off with profit taking, this was an addition catalyst that sent the equity down.

KC: The language that you use makes me think you’ve been watching too much CNBC. ;-)

Is that because KC left the “al” off of addition?
But further, with no TV how do you know what they are saying on CNBC?

groucho: No, it was the “profit taking,” “catalyst,” and saying “equity” instead of stock that I object to as a language snob/jerk. ;-)
Unfortunately, I sometimes come across CNBC in the gym when looking for ESPN or AXN (favorite show currently is The Ultimate Fighter - Season One (several years old I think, but I love it)).
