Stock to Watch — BTU International (BTUI)
BTUI, one of the Ten Best Performing Stocks of 2005, moved to a new high on higher-than-usual volume. It has moved sideways for awhile, so I’ll add it to my Watchlist at stocktickr. My number of invitations to stocktickr has mysteriously been replenished once again, so if you’d like to join, be my guest.
BTU International, Inc. engages in the design, manufacture, sale, and service of thermal processing systems for electronics and materials manufacturing industries. The company was formed in 1950 and is headquartered in North Billerica, Massachusetts.

Chairman just want to get your opinion on buying breakouts. BTUI looks like an ideal break out but it seems most breakouts get faded or get way to choppy before moving on up. any good books on the topic?

I don’t know any good books that talk about breakouts. So much of it has to do with the tone of the broad market or sector. Look at Vista Gold, a stock I featured the other day. Lovely looking breakout, but then the whole metals complex fell apart so the trade failed miserably.
