The End of Whole Foods’ Fabulous Run, or, Pass the Mac & Cheese Please
The dramatic run that started in late 2000 in WFMI is now officially over. The market is signaling that it’s not just Mr. & Mrs. Front Porch USA who are retrenching — the ambulance chasers, rich plumbers, hippie-yuppies, and trust fund babies who patronize WFMI are also tightening their belts.
This chart doesn’t exactly have “soft landing” written all over it.

Hence Benny not raising rates again. He’s hoping the consumer will refi their HELOC’s and CC’s so they can go out and continue to buy.
Conundrum = Stagflation.

I once had a girl hit on me cause I was carrying a Whole Foods grocery bag. I think she figured I was sensitive and concerned about the environment or something.
