Two Trading Ideas for Thursday, January 10

The box found two long ideas for Thursday, January 10. Yesterday we suffered another whipsaw loss and January is shaping up to be a tough month. The box often gets things generally right (it’s amazing how many times it’s “off” by just a day or two… “close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades,” alas), but the exact way to execute the ideas is the tricky bit.

ABOUT THE DECEMBER REPORT: I know people want to review the numbers in detail for the box ideas from December, and I promise to send out the spreadsheet with all the particulars as soon as the three open trades from last month close out: I’m trailing an ABC stop down down down in both LINTA and LLTC (about 10R in gains locked in so far) and waiting patiently for the SM long to stop out for a loss. Thanks for your understanding.

Another day, another whipsaw. Yep, that’s what happens when you try to pick tops and bottoms instead of trade with the trend.

shohel: I’ll add you to the list … text that is underlined in blue is “clickable” … the “freeload while you can” is an invitation to click that link which would lead to opening an email addressed to me.
