150 minute running time … it’s very long, like an epic … a prison movie and an escape movie … it’s pretty good, memorable for sure, I’m sure some consider it a classic … but it’s too long, maybe cut out the Steve McQueen going native section, among others … for this reason it doesn’t get a green-go, but if you split it up to watch over three nights, say, then you should see it.
