I got around to watching most of the 2014 World Series of Poker final tables ... I didn't watch too much of the three- and two-handed play at the end (though that can also be very interesting). Here are screenshots of a few of the hands that I enjoyed watching:
Rystadt was rude after winning this one
Newhouse comes across as a pothead, but he's a world-class player
"Kentucky justice"
flopping a set always a pleasure
and again, against the same opponent
Zaichenko finished
the flush hit, I believe ... larrabe would go on to make a big mistake at the final table going unnecessarily all-in with KQ suited
before van hoof had his huge chip lead ... Jacobson, the short stack, would go on to win it all -- impressive.
next best thing to flopping a set is turning one
6'6" Dutchman ... big stack doesn't guarantee a win
7 2 can be a playable hand ;-)
larrabe all-in here, justified? I think not. Amateur poker face here from Pappas (lovable guy)
